Rosh Hodesh Women’s Group
Our Women’s Group meets monthly to explore women’s changing roles in Judaism through the years and discuss various topics of interest such as Jewish holidays and biblical interpretations from a women’s point of view, the Kabbalah, mothers and daughters, and family life.
Rosh Hodesh is a biblical holiday that sanctifies the appearance of the first sliver of moon each month, symbolizing renewal and the cycle of life. Since the Middle Ages, it has been set apart as a holiday particularly important for women. Rosh Hodesh rotates each month to different homes. Please see a list of our planned Rosh Hodesh events below and contact the office for information our next meeting.
