Duct Tape the Rabbi (for a good cause!)
Date(s) - January 24, 2016
A message from Rabbi Amanda:
On the 24th of January 2016 at 12:30 in the afternoon, we will stick Rabbi Colin (aka my hubby, long suffering, I might add) to a wall at the shul. Now, some of you may think this is absurd and highly disrespectful to the Chief Rabbi of Trumbull, but it’s for a good cause!
We are raising money for kevlar vests for the Givati Unit in the north of Israel. Each roll of tape (yes, we have rolls) is $180, and each long strip of tape is $18. Children sponsorship is $5.
The 6th and 7th graders at the shul have raised $350, enough for one vest. That’s just from bake sales! Rabbi Colin and I are matching their efforts penny for penny. He won’t match the funds for sticking him up, though!
We are aiming for two vests.
We hope you can make it. The kids are “entertaining” Rabbi Colin as he is stuck on the wall, so it should be a fun time!
Are you in? Please send checks made out to Ezra Academy, since we are partnering with them. If not, you can pay that day. Please send them in to Robin in the office, 5700 Main St., Trumbull — Israel really needs our help right NOW.
